Galatians 3:23-29, Thursday Night Service - Sermon Video

Below please find the video from last Thursday night's worship service.  In the sermon, I talk about all the various hats that we wear in this world.  There are so many aspects to our lives that we tend to use to actually divide and differentiate ourselves, but the reality is that we should only focus upon the fact that we all wear the baptism of Christ.

It wasn't a long sermon, so please take a few moments and take a listen.

It's a crazy week so I'm going to just drop this here and run.

Be a blessing to someone today!

In Christ,
Roy

Galatians 3:23-29 New Revised Standard Version (NRSV)
23 Now before faith came, we were imprisoned and guarded under the law until faith would be revealed. 24 Therefore the law was our disciplinarian until Christ came, so that we might be justified by faith. 25 But now that faith has come, we are no longer subject to a disciplinarian, 26 for in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith. 27 As many of you as were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. 28 There is no longer Jew or Greek, there is no longer slave or free, there is no longer male and female; for all of you are one in Christ Jesus. 29 And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s offspring,[a] heirs according to the promise.

Sermon From June 5th, 2016

Sorry, for my great delay in getting the sermon from June 5th posted.  It's been a bit crazy lately.  I scheduled to be on vacation from June 10th through the 19th but ended up doing two funerals in that period of time (I'll post up the transcripts from them in separate posts).  The sermon was over the following verses in the book of Galatians.

Galatians 1:11-24New Revised Standard Version (NRSV)

11 For I want you to know, brothers and sisters,[a] that the gospel that was proclaimed by me is not of human origin; 12 for I did not receive it from a human source, nor was I taught it, but I received it through a revelation of Jesus Christ.

13 You have heard, no doubt, of my earlier life in Judaism. I was violently persecuting the church of God and was trying to destroy it. 14 I advanced in Judaism beyond many among my people of the same age, for I was far more zealous for the traditions of my ancestors. 15 But when God, who had set me apart before I was born and called me through his grace, was pleased 16 to reveal his Son to me,[b] so that I might proclaim him among the Gentiles, I did not confer with any human being, 17 nor did I go up to Jerusalem to those who were already apostles before me, but I went away at once into Arabia, and afterwards I returned to Damascus.

18 Then after three years I did go up to Jerusalem to visit Cephas and stayed with him fifteen days; 19 but I did not see any other apostle except James the Lord’s brother. 20 In what I am writing to you, before God, I do not lie! 21 Then I went into the regions of Syria and Cilicia, 22 and I was still unknown by sight to the churches of Judea that are in Christ; 23 they only heard it said, “The one who formerly was persecuting us is now proclaiming the faith he once tried to destroy.” 24 And they glorified God because of me.

Remember, to be a blessing to someone today!

In His grace,
Roy
